Have mild anemia and doc wants extra test although blood work and hemoglobin increasing every day?

Ask the doctor directly, do they think there's something serious. My mom's doctor kept giving her tests too but she actually had cancer & her doctors didn't tell her cause they didn't want to scare her. Those tests (like Ur's) had nothing to do with cancer either.
