Have an idea, but need sponsor to create the website with managing?

Question

Any ideas came form facing some experience or obstacles. My idea is mainly  for organization and universities for highly professional purpose. It's not talking about sell some things nigher soical website. I believe it should be deisnged and managed by big provider like GOOGLE or YAHOO. Since GOOGLE supports the education and most universities's email is managed by GMAIL. My Q are 

1- who will support me?

2- Who should I trust to give him my idea?

3- Is there any conferences that I can present my idea, than I might get sponsored or get offered?

4- How to make my idea protected? I checked "Copyright.gov" it seems Copyright does not protect ideas.

Companies don't usually buy ideas.  You usually need to present a completed, working thing, preferably something that has been profitable.  You can protect an idea with a patent, but be advised that as soon as you get the patent, it's public info, and the clock starts, whether you're ready to market your product or not.  For that reason, many companies deal with nondisclosure agreements (NDA), either initially or instead of patents (depending).  You shouldn't trust anyone with your idea, if it's easy for someone to run with it.  If you hire a programmer, have them sign an NDA.  Another problem with a patent is that it doesn't stop someone from using your idea -- you would need to sue them for patent infringement, which can cost a lot of time and money, and in the end, you might only get some percentage of their profits.  If you aren't worried about someone taking your idea, you can pitch your idea to investors or investor groups, or you can post the project on crowd funding sites.  Good luck.
