Now, before you think I'm stupid, the Bible says that if someone has faith the size of a mustard seed, they will be able to move mountains (Matthew 17:20). So I was wondering, has anyone in history actually moved a mountain?

Faith is believing. One Greek word is translated both ways.
What you do is what you believe. "I believe I'll have a beer." See how it works?
Remember that we live in reality, not in a bunch of religious magic. So when you command a mountain to be removed, you should not be surprised to see a man shovel the mountain into a wheelbarrow. You should not feel cheated if you have to be the man. Here is a case of exactly that:
