I have a hair appointment, cut and highlights, and it's going to be between $120-$140. I'm a broke college kid, and I have no idea what to tip. I was told $5 would be appropriate ..... Any input? :)

Your financial status is largely governed by manner of conduct, minimal quality of life. Penny pinching doesn't hurt, but if you don't watch for the sort of obligations you impose upon yourself, whilst uncontrollable external ones pile up, someday you may end up as a burden to others, or worse.
I'm conscious of my financial decisions thank you, just looking for an appropriate amount to tip without going unnecessarily overboard or offensively low. This isn't a situation of blindly blowing my money, but thank you for the opinion.
