One of my guppies looks like it tried to eat one of its deceased pals, but the spine or something has gotten stuck in its throat or wrapped around its mouth somehow (I can't really see). The guppy is having difficulty keeping afloat and is tiring quickly. I have been trying for about half an hour to get it out by just tugging on it every now and then, like a tug-of-war, to no avail.
I don't think I have any chance of getting it out, so I was wondering...
How long can fish go without feeding? Is it possible to just wait for the carcass to rot away?
What should I do with this fish? So far I've just isolated it.
