To be honest I dont know but their are family law websites that may have some resources u can look into. My question is why do u want full custody or partial custody? Is the child being abused or neglected? Who has custody of the child now? Where is the other parent? Im going to be honest with u; u didnt really say a whole lot so im trying to figure out is this about whats best for the kid or whats best for u? And I dont mean any disrespect by it; im also a grandparents so I get it. Matter of fact, I have a grandson that I dont get to see. Do I like it, No. Do I think its fair, No. But do I respect my daughters choice, Yes. She is the parent and she is entitlled to decide what she feels is best for her son despite what I think or how I feel. I know what its like to have a grandparent think their rights out weighed mine and it almost ruined are relationship and for awhile it did tear up our family. They thought they knew best yet the didnt stop to consider that it was through their own trial and errors that this was learned. They tried denying me my right to become the best mom I could be by taking from me the experiences, choices, successes and consequinces that mold and shaped me as parent. I dont know what ur situation is but I do hope whatever u decide to do its for the right reasons. If it is, then I wish u all the luck. If its not, then it will be the child who will ultimately pay the price! If u can try to find a workable solution that benefits everyone involved kuz custody battles are stressful, hard, damaging physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. And if u loose, u'll probably loose ur gbaby for good. Is it really worth the risk?
