Got this ring. It's a fairly small diamond on it. I paid $900 last year. How much resale will I get?

Just curious how much I should expect to get. If I take it to a gold buyer.  The ring is silver. With a fairly smaller diamond on top.

There is almost no resale market for diamonds. They say diamonds are forever because once you buy one you're stuck with it forever.

I agree, it seems that diamonds don't resell well, especially not if it's fairly small and set in silver (it's normally combined with gold). I suggest you ask in a local jeweller shop for the value, they can tell you or you can go to a pawn broker type shop to see what they would be willing to give you for it. Or try and sell online.
