From a hospital in Texas, saying something about this is my first assignment that I needed deposit it into my bank account and keep 500 for my wages and 100to send the rest of money to someone in the Philippines for medications. Is this a scam?

yes it is a scam they want you to put it in your bank account so they can take all your money i would turn it in to the authorities cause this kinda thing needs to stop people take advantage of others this way and its not nice they want to see if you are that dumb to stick it in your bank account if you have a bank account your money would get taken and your bank account would be disappear like nothing so i wouldn't do anything but to turn it over to the authorities and when they contact you to see why you haven't deposited it they will act like you stole money from their corporation just tell them shame on you and you turned it in to the authorities they won't bother you agian
