I am 38 weeks dilated to a 3 and 50% effaced. My baby has already dropped and in position. Will walking help me dilate?

No, what it will do is exercise the muscles in the pelvic floor and ease the baby into position and that is what it's about. You need to move partially to work those muscles and bones and partially to move the baby as it develops in the womb so as to reduce the risk of a breech birth of other complication. Bottom line is mild exercise is vey good for you and will make for an easier birth, the old wives tales of resting and relaxing for the last trimester of pregnancy are absolute boll*cks (within reason of course, any mum to be with twins or triplets is going to need to not be on her feet a lot, bless her).
