... we're trying to get her to cut this habit, but its getting to be a lot now & becoming more frequent... Is there anything I/we can do to help or guide her? Is there any health problems that cause something like this? I need helpp

That is a symptom of magnesium deficiency, which is quite common among American youngsters. Magnesium strengthens muscles, calms nerves, stops cramps, and fights infections. Get epsom salt. It is cheap, five bux for a year's supply. Put a dose in a glass with water to cover and stir until it dissolves. Fill the glass with lemonade and drink it. You can take it without the lemonade but you won't like the taste. Milk of magnesia is more expensive but nicer tasting and gentler laxative action. Your choice.
It's pretty likely that she needs more calcium too. Get fruit flavored Tums and vitamin D pills.
