I recently bought the Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection and tried to install it onto my computer. At first, it would register that there was something in the disc drive, but it wouldn't load when I would click on it. It had done the same thing with the Sims 4, and I rebooted (reset) my computer to install it. I tried that again for this game, but now it won't even register that there is a game in the tray, or that I even have a CD/DVD ROM. I've researched other solutions and have tried what they've suggested, but nothing has worked so far. Why is this happening? What can I do?

When the same situation happens with me I cleaned the DVD drive's little lens thingy (I believe that's the technical name for it) underneath where you put the DVD or CD itself and it magically started reading audio CDs and DVDs again. I just gently wiped it with a clean cloth (like the kind you use to clean eye glasses)
Sounds silly, but even if you rarely use the drive, give it a shot if you haven't yet. Here's hoping it will work for someone else out there!!
