My parents are divorced, and my dad is the only parent living in the country. Downside is, my father says he can't afford to even think about getting a horse or pony without more money. Or a tractor - in which we would be able to grow some of the food supply. So, I have multiple questions:
Is there any cheap tractors for sale around the Willmar/Mankato/Redwood Falls/Twin Cities area's in Minnesota?
Is there a way to grow the needed crops for feed without a tractor?
Any tips on reaching that goal of owning a horse/pony?

You won't only need a tractor if you are going to grow your own hay. You will need a baler, tedder, and some agriculture knowledge. Also a place to store the hay. Your better off taking lessons and then with more experience (and hopefully money) you might be able to purchase your dream horse or pony. Hope this helps.
