... there mechanic check the car and all was well. A few days later we had it checked out by our mechanic for good measure and he told us that there is a leak in the transmission and a ton of other problem and that it wasn't worth what we paid for it. The report we have from their mechanic is not the same as the one from ours. We financed the car and I am a first time car buyer. I have no idea what to do or what my rights are. I live in Toronto and am looking for any insight that people might have. Thank you in advance!

sounds like you have been scammed well and truly. They had their own mechanic to check your car over. Obviously this mechanic is getting paid to make false statements. Unfortunately because u have driven the car the dealership can blame it on you. Accuse you off damaging the car. ring up dealership and tell them your problem . If they aren't going to resolve it then don't retaliate just make sure they know you will be going public about this. Tell them you will be making sure no one buys a car through them again.no company wants bad publicity. So I'm sure they would rather pay to sort your car than ultimately lose there business from lack of sales. Just be firm and confident in what u say. Good luck .
