... vacation. He is a year old now and a maine coon and I have known him since he was a kitten. When I brought him to my house he freaked out and wouldn't move from under the desk. I had to call my sister and have her pick him up and I drove out there a couple nights to feed him instead. He was so happy to see me when I came because he was hungry/lonely. All of a sudden when my sister got back he hissed at me for the first time and won't let me come near him. I am the only person he hisses at and he will follow me wherever I go and try to hit me when I walk past. Sometimes he will start to come near me and rub up against me but as soon as I go to pet him he hisses and is super bipolar. How do I regain his love and trust?!
Google - How do I gain a cat's trust back? I agreed to watch my sister's cat when she was going on?

Be gentle with him, crouch down to his eye level, but never stare, just look into his eyes and blink slowly. If he blinks back it means he love you. DO NOT pick him up as this can loose even more trust with him, let him smell your hand before you stroke or pet him. Maybe buy him a new small mouse toy and try playing with him more often, a peice of long string with a string of loom bands attached is a good homemade toy or you can start feeding him a few treats whenever he acts affectionate towards you, this will suggest to him that it is the right thing to act affectionate towards you, if this persists for over a month, try the vets, they might suggest some bonding time exercises!! Hope this helps and good luck!!
