That is not an inside cat that is an indoor/outdoor cat.
Just so you know, on average an outdoor only cat lives 4-6 years. An
indoor/outdoor cat lives 6-8 years and an indoor only cat lives 15 years.
You should assume there is a health issue with your cat. If cats are feeling sick, are in pain, or are dying they will look for some place dark to hide and be alone.
A healthy cat would not be hiding and not eating for 3 days. NO CAT should go without eating for longer than 3 days. They are not like dogs who do not have this problem. Cats start having liver problems if they dont eat. Chemical reactions take place which makes the cat feel sick and if that happens they dont want to eat. Its a vicious cycle and in essence the cat becomes anorexic. That can lead to having a feeding tube surgically implanted and for several weeks you squish special food down that tube 4 times a day!
So get that cat to eat!
A can of sardines, a can of smelly tuna for humans or KFC chicken works when trying to trap or catch cats. Sit outside in the late afternoon or early evening and talk to the cat softly. Coax it out with one of those smelly foods and soft words. Don't scare it. When you catch it you better make sure it doesnt need a vet. That is not healthy behavior.
