The nail will fall off and grow back again. Keep the area clean and spray with freeze spray if it hurts and take an asprin each day to help heal. It hurts but you need another week or two of healing, and the toe will be back to normal. Resist seeing the doctor, it feels like an emergency, but mostly check with friends, everyone has had this one time or another working on a farm with animals. It will pop itself and ooze eventually and the nail will grow back fresh.
