You need to get a dictionary and read it when you are waiting for something else. Volatile is from Latin 'volare' which means to fly, implying that atoms or molecules fly at some temperature. Gold is nineteen times as dense as water: it does not fly.
I think you have never held a piece of gold. It is surprisingly heavy.
