im a 16 year old boy and i recently got into an relationship with a 14 year old girl..
i know 2 years isn't alot but right now it seems such a big difference.. i mean i recently graduated from highschool but she has to do another 5 years at her school (yea she's smart) i just don't know how to explain people in college that my girlfriend is still in highschool.. im so confused right now i mean i like her but the age just bothers me.. please help

If you really like her then you should stay with her. It doesnt matter what others think. The age is not abig difference. Its only 2 years apart. But i understand it can bother umyou if ur in collge and shes in highschool. I dont think many people will care about the age considering many people date others of any age. Again if you really like her then dont worry about what others think.

It could cause problems when you're of age and she's still not legal, but as long as the feelings are genuine go for it, just be careful to avoid statutory rape in a few years since you could easily get in a large amount of trouble. As an adult that difference is minor, it just seems like a lot when it is a decent percentage of your life so far.

its very different if you're an adult. kids nowadays get groomed, manipulated by their older boyfriends thinking its love meanwhile its not. a 40 year old man with a 30 year old woman is very different than a 16 year old with a 26 year old man who's done with his highstudies while his girlfriend is completing her school. of course a younger girl will be fasicnated by the idea of a older man. its your job to be the more mature one. and understand. the raj guy is almost close to him marrying. its disgusting

I can see where your coming from lad, but because of the age difference even though its too years might be a bit funny, let me explain i live in the UK and the age of consent is 16 for mental maturity is as well so if someone was really slow had the age of 12 and is 16 then its breaking law. Im sure in the US it 16 in some states and 18 in other states so imagine people find out where its sixteen your dating a girl 2 years younger than you and they might think you're being intimate with her am i right? So maybe ask her parents if their ok with it and maybe do mre posts asking online anonymously on like Yahoo for the public's opinion but honestly id keep it on the low avoid getting called anything u dont want to get called cause them names will stick with u for life. I know a bloke who was 16-17 and he was sleeping around with younger girls under 16 i bet if anyone found out he'd be in trouble he might be in prison now i dont know. I think however u might have got away with it considering there's only two years difference but be warned i dont think if i had a daughter id want her bf to be 16-17 might think its a bit statuary rapey but thats my opinon.
