Getting married by church, does that mean I am legally married?

I only have my marriage certificate from church

The church is mostly for the ceremony with family and friends,as long as you got a certificate and has been sign by  the county in which the marriage is to be preformed by a notary of public you are married.          ( YES)

Did you get a marriage license? I assume if you had a marriage license signed by the minister then you are married. Did you do that? If not, why not?
