So yesterday in class, my phone accidentally went off because I forgot to turn it off before I got to school. The teacher (who was facing the class) knew it was me judging where the sound came from, and told me I had detention during lunch and I had to give my phone to her. I politely explained to her that this was an accident and it wouldn't happen again, but she didn't care. So detention I went and my phone got confiscated.

Where do you see a. false and b.imprisonment?
You got detention because your phone went off, which proves you had it on in class, which is the broken rule. The fact that you got caught because of an accident doesn't mean you didn't break the rule.
imprisonment laws do not cover detentions....why would even think they did? If there was a problem, you'd the board of education and principal and get the teacher suspended.
BUT, don't do that, you broke the rules fair and square. Just put your phone in your locker. Then, if goes off and turns itself on, you still aren't breaking any rules.
To conclude, if you spent as much time trying to not break the rules as you did challenging them, you would't have gotten detention in the first place.
School rules are like weather: there is no point in arguing with weather. You put up with the assaults on your dignity until you are able to escape or old enough to put in prison. In the meantime, life is a lot better if you develop your own righteousness to the level you seem to think theirs should be. You do that by watching old movies made 1950 to 1959, the era of good taste. Take acting classes and practice acting like an ambassador. Learn vocal skills, such as story telling, so people will think you are sociable, whether you are or not. Get "Dress For Success" by John Molloy and study his advice to students. (Remember, he says appropriate clothes, not expensive clothes.)
You know what? If you can do that until you finish high school, you will get a job that pays VERY well. And then you can just forget those jerks back in high school.
Go to thepiratebay.se to find a nearly complete collection of old movies.
You were not in jail. This seems to be a school policy. My advice is to leave the Cell Phone in your locker or turn it off during classes. Your school has a good policy for cell phones. Even though you were sorry; you knew the outcome of the cell phone ringing. Whoever called you; should know this too. If not, you should inform all family and friends not to call during school hours. If it is important, send a message and you can contact later.
