I'm planning on getting a new iPod (5th generation) very soon because my current iPod is in terrible condition, so much so that when I plug it into my computer it can't connect to the computer and be synced. Because of this I have resorted to buying songs off of the iTunes on my iPod. I have purchased a number of songs from iTunes via the iTunes app on my iPod, but I am worried that I I purchase a new iPod, the songs I purchased will not carry over to my new iPod. Since I purchased the songs via my iTunes account, if I were to log in to iTunes on the new iPod, would the songs I purchased still be available to me since they were purchased from my iTunes account, even though they were purchased on a different iPod? I want to be sure so I don't lose all the money I spent to get the songs. An answer back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes I'm pretty sure they'll be safe. Yes they will still be purchased and you can redownload them for free on iTunes. No, you won't lose your money. Transfer the songs you already have on your other old iPod and try and connect it with your iPod (Fifth generation). I have a phone and whenever we buy songs on iTunes or something, it instantly buys itself into another device that has been used.
This will help.
Hope this helps and good luck on getting your 5th generation! :)
Comment back on the answer if it doesn't help, let me know. I will try and find a better way to say it.
