My brother is transgender and has just started his transition recently to becoming a female. Now my question is, is it for likely for me to also be transgender as well because of genetic? I myself grew up not following the gender norm and was always a tomboy and loved dresses masculine and trying to get me in a dress was like world war 3. Now since my brother gave out when I was 16 I started questioning my own gender thinking stuff along the line of my past and why I never fitted in with other girls. By the time I was 17 I thought I was most likely an transgender 50% and now I'm also 19 in a month and I am 75% sure I'm transgender. I just want to know is it more likely for me to also be transgender because its in the family?

Some research suggests their may be a link between being a transgender and genetics, but most suggests it's not. It's literally up to you. If you feel like you're transgender, then you are (as only sex is a biological thing, gender is a social construct). However, being a tomboy and not fitting in with traditional gender norms doesn't necessarily make you transgender. This is an issue you will have to put some thought into, maybe do a little research, or even talk with your doctor or someone else you feel comfortable talking with this about. Also, not everyone who is transgender undergoes physical transitions, and again, being a tomboy does not necessarily make you transgender.
Its not a matter of fitting in or liking to wear certain types of clothes.
Its feeling in your body and soul that you are the wrong gender and that you are in fact the opposite of what you are being called.
However, there is nothing stopping you from pursuing clarification via a psychiatrist to determine if you want to move forward. You can do nothing without a doctors okay so go talk to one.
