Genesis 2:17 says they shall not eat of the tree. In verse 3:3 Eve says the shall not eat or touch.?

Why does Eve say they shall not touch or eat when God says they shall not eat verse 2:17 does not say they shall not touch.

Well, you know how women love to exaggerate. 

Actually, that is a great observation.  
When God commanded Adam not to eat the fruit of that tree, Eve wasn't around yet. She came along later. (Gen 2: 21-23) She got the message second hand, from Adam, who likely told her not to touch it. (I know I would have)
