Why does it seem that a bottle of water that has been frozen is heavier than the same water bottle before it was frozen

Although the water expands by 10% when it freezes the mass of course doesn't change, they weigh exactly the same. Have you ever carried someone easily and they have gone limp? The effect is the same, they suddenly appear to be mush harder to carry, although they weigh the same amount before and after.
Perhaps with the bottle, because it looks a little bigger your brain is fooled into thinking it should be heavier.
