1 Peter 3:21: “That which corresponds to this [that is, the flood of Noah’s day] is also now saving you, namely, baptism, (not [merely] the putting away of the filth of the flesh [important as that is], but the request made to God for a good conscience,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
Baptism is a most fitting symbol of our having made our choice to work with Jehovah God by dedicating ourselves to do his will as footstep followers of Jesus Christ. By going down into the water, being covered by it, we are, as it were, buried. We die as to our former course of action; it marks the death of our selfish course, our choosing to do as WE please. Being raised up out of the water well pictures our being made alive to the doing of God’s will, so as to walk ‘in newness of life.’ Water baptism might also be said to have a very practical aspect, as a person might easily forget that he orally agreed to do God’s will, or even forget that he once signed a paper to that effect; for how many things we forget that we have said or even written down! But can one forget that once, after hearing a discourse on baptism and joining in prayer, he changed his clothes to a bathing suit and got baptized in the presence of many witnesses? Hardly! Having taken such a step, one has the obligation of following through by being a co-worker with Jehovah God. jw.org
Ok,is it a research of yours? I will be relly happy to see the result of it. So, let's come back to your questions.
1) greatly. It is like the knowledge. I know who I am thankful for what I have got and where to go if I am looking for the answers.
2) it drives me
3) it is a big part of me
4) we are the sculptors of our lives. Religion is the patrol
5) Ability to share with the positive energy
Being one of Jehovah's witnesses baptism is not taken lightly. First off let's see what
baptism means? The verb means “to immerse,” or dip under water. Jesus made baptism a requirement for his followers. The Scriptures also refer to John’s baptism, baptism with holy spirit, and baptism with fire, among others.—Mt 3:11, 16; 28:19; Joh 3:23; 1Pe 3:21
Another thing we want to consider were children baptized? Was infant baptism practiced by first-century Christians?
Matt. 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples . . . baptizing them.”
Acts 8:12: “When they believed Philip . . . they proceeded to be baptized, both men and women.”
This some historical information Religious historian Augustus Neander wrote: “Faith and baptism were always connected with one another; and thus it is in the highest degree probable . . . that the practice of infant baptism was unknown at this period [in the first century]. . . . That it first became recognised as an apostolic tradition in the course of the third century, is evidence rather against than for the admission of its apostolic origin.”—History of the Planting and Training of the Christian Church by the Apostles (New York, 1864), p. 162.
There are three things you must consider.
To be baptized “in the name of the Father,” what must a person recognize concerning the Father? (Isaiah 6:3) . . .And one called to the other: “Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of armies. The whole earth is filled with his glory.”
Baptism in the name “of the Son” calls for recognition of what?
(Philippians 2:9-11) 9 For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground— 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
What must a person believe in order to be baptized in the name “of the holy spirit”?
(John 14:16, 17) 16 And I will ask the Father and he will give you another helper to be with you forever, 17 the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither sees it nor knows it. You know it, because it remains with you and is in you.
To sum this up we must know what it involves.
Get to know our creator by studying his word
Don't take it lightly.
When you do this it should become a way of life for us.
