First truck?

Question

Okay so my standards aren't very high, at least I hope so.
I am looking to buy my first truck, which I will be mudding and all the other southern stuff with. Although, I can't find the best truck option. I would kind of prefer a 2 door, but that's okay if not. But what I NEED is a truck that is a beginner's price range, and also won't cost more to fix than to buy. Please help me with this!

you could by one from a private owner this would be a decent truck option it shouldn't be to expensive  and you can do the things that you mentioned any car lot you go to will cost a arm and leg so go the cheaper route

I personally would get a small Ford Ranger or Mazda B-Series (Same truck really) I went down to AutoMax and got a 2 Door extended cab 2004 Mazda B2300 for about $6000. Those little trucks will make it farther than you would think. I take mine out mudding and sometimes even crawling. And this is just with all the stock wheels and tires too. The only flaw with the off-road experience is the sand because of the little tires that comes with the truck.
