So a couple months ago my fiance and I found a home we were interested in purchasing, but it needed a new roof due to hail damage. The sellers agreed to replace it before settlement but now 4 days before settlement we received a receipt showing that the only work done was to the front porch roof and front mansor. We confronted them about this and now we are being told that an agreement will be written up for them to pay the same roofer to complete the rest of the roof within 60 days from settlement, which is tomorrow. What would we need in writing to assure that we won't be stuck with a 30 bad decision?
