I tend to get suspended on the more serious email groups for being poor and not producing a "product", info-dumping, or wandering a little off-topic-though not in a flamey kind of way. I would like to find a group that is a bit more "relaxed".
I like motorcycle-related tech talk and weird bike projects of all kinds.

If you want to use the internet you need to learn how to use the internet. Everybody uses google.com so you may as well use it too, just so everybody doesn't poke fun at you. You can search for "google advanced" to see what else it can do for you. For instance you can search a specific web site; you can search for a specific filetype. You can use images.google.com to search for a picture that looks like one you have. Then there is video.google.com which indexes much more than just youtube.

Nobody promises that you will like it. I have spent 17 years looking for a nice forum and here I am helping kids with homework.

I think the whole idea of email groups with digest postings to members is total anathema to me. "They" want everybody to be journos, and write nice, authorative articles. That sort of thing doesn't matter on a forum or board. no-one follows every single thread! Then you get the digest-getters moaning to list admin because their
digest doesn't "look nice". No-one can even explain what the real rules are,
they just have a "gut feeling" that they don't like it.
There you go again. I have no idea what you're talking about. Only talk about what we're actually talking about.
You probably don't have very many friends, either. Attention span non-existent.
You seem to have an odd attitude for an answerer of questions! Sounds a lot like me! You are correct. I don't relate well to "males" at all. women seem to "get" me a bit better, though. I think it is my aura of "edgy" rage?, or possibly a slight autistic tendency. Men get nervous around me, and just want me to go away. Despite the impression I give, I do try not to "flame" anyone, and are generally thoughtful of other people. I don't think it matters if I talk about motorbike engines instead of
the "FF" chassis/bike concept, or if I "blog" some of my workings and details to an email list, or post several times a day. These sort of things are considered quite normal of board-type forums.
I don't know if Google Advanced" will enlighten me further. I have found a lot of
"motorcycle-forum" style sites, but it is hard to tell whether they would stand for
my style of cycle chit-chat, overdosing on bits of info, techy criss-crossing,
and generally "lots of talk but no action" goings on... How do I search for that?
Is there some sort of pattern? I could read all the posts on every forum, but
that would take forever. Allowing cross-reference between similar forums
or mentioning other forum names, urls,
would be a good start-I eliminated one for explicitly forbidding that!!!
