Sorry can i confrim ' he is fertile so we have not been using condoms'
Usually when someone is 'fertile' then you DO NEED them.
The 'implanon' works by releasing the chemicals also found in 'the pill'
over a 4 year time frame (roughly) after 4 years the chemical is all used up and it no longer protects you from pregnancy, this means you will also start to get your regular period back.
If you do want to use the implanon method for protection, you NEED to get it replaced. They are not expensive from a family planning clinic - like $30)
until then welcome back your monthly period and start using condoms :)
