There's a co worker that seemed nice enough when we started together, but as time has gone on she's become really awkward to be around. She always has a tense presence and she acts apathetic and indifferent when you say anything to her. So I don't talk to her. Later she complains about me, talks bad about me, or makes hints about how weird I am to other people. I don't care I guess - but if she has a problem with me, why doesnt she leave me alone like I do with her. She even complained to management that I make her uncomfortable (even though I don't speak to her) and she continues to hang around my area or she'll walk by when she has the chance. It's annoying and I just keep to myself - but for curiousity's sake I do wonder why does she act like this??

i think i would have a one on one conversation with your management team this way they have the story from you two its just not one sided you have to bring your own information to play and any coworkers that might be of information if not its only your ideas as to what is really happening her just to be on the safe side
I was going to suggest you talk to managment.
So glad to hear it's all worked out successfully.
Good luck.
That's a good idea -- and that actually happened, so management took the 'agree to just forget about it' approach and started scheduling her around my shifts. I thought it was all really weird, and I didn't know where this came from, but I just took that as a definite sign to never talk to ths person or even acknowledge her existence. But then she'll still come around my work area, I'll take the long way around to avoid her, and she'll still come in and use my computer, or when we have meetings she just rotates her chair and stares at me the whole time. I was really uncomfortable the whole time and I don't get what's going through her head/ why she acts like this.
