I wouldn’t worry about it, everyone’s different. Also I’m a girl and I don’t recall ever thinking about ears of a person until you brought it up. If it makes you feel better, I don’t hear anyone criticizing people’s ears, and if they criticize yours it’s none of their business; each person looks different and people shouldn’t criticize how others look.
Don't you even think about plastic surgery! I'm sure your ears are not nearly as terrible as you might imagine them to be. Having said that, there is something you can do to drastically improve your appearance and make yourself more attractive to others...work on your confidence. Realize that there are things about you that people are attracted to....focus on those. If you aren't sure what they are, ask a few of your friends to point them out. Then the next time you see someone that you'd to meet, think about those positive things...project it. I promise you, people notice your level of confidence in your non-verbal communication and they respond to it.
The other thing that might be worth considering is when you asked if a girl might be bothered by big ears. Imagine you try to start a conversation with someone and everything is going well....Then suddenly they notice your ears and they suddenly aren't interested anymore. Consider what that says about that person. In that situation they have such a high opinion of themselves that they deem you unworthy...is that the kind of person you would want to know?
Dating can be brutal, but you have to get in there knowing that you have value. Project that confidence and it will tell them subconsciously that you are someone worth talking to.
