I wanted to clean the charm on my necklace, so my mom told me to soak it in her jewelry cleaner. I started soaking it, and then I forgot about it and it soaked in there for a few days. when i finally remembered i quickly got it out, but it was dripping a dark blackish color(when its supposed to be silver) and when i cleaned all the black off of it, it was a very dirty copper/brown tarnished color. Is there anything i can use to bring it back to its original shiny silver? I know its fake and would be easier to just buy a new one but its a very sentimental piece. Please, any advice will help.
Thank you! I actually ended up buying TarnX and it worked amazing. a few wipes and it was back to normal. I tried it on some of my other tarnished jewelry as well, but some of it turned pink. I swear by TarnX now, just be careful what material you use it on, lol. Thanks for your help.
