Factory Reset: What should I back up?

I'm doing a factory reset on my windows 7 computer. It's fairly new, maybe 2-3 years old, but windows 7 is bad about slowly grinding to a halt, lol. 

I know to back up the basics, like documents, pictures, movies, songs, and personal files, but no where I look ever mentions anything else.

I also know that I need to back up "configuration files" whatever those are, my appdata folder, and "installation" files. Don't know how to, but will figure it out.

Is there anything else important/pertinent/convenient that I need to back up that will make it easier to set my computer back up?

Answer

You could install CC cleaner as some times our PC gets slow due to lots of data and formatting it is also an good idea but you have to backup all your data in pendrive after that you could format your desktop.
