In my opinion, there's nothing more important than a good starting sentence. You have to start with a "hook", a statement, fact, question, etc., to draw the reader in. My english teacher used to say that a good hook will help set the mood for your essay :) a good ending/conclusion is important too; it's basically a stronger variation of your introduction. The body is not as important; just make sure what you write is reasonable, to the point, and nicely put together. Writing a quick outline to your essay before hand is a great way to organize it all! :)
