I recently waxed my upper lip area (mustache hairs) with an at home kit and experienced some redness a little while after. I don't think I'm allergic. The redness is gone but the area feels so unbelievably dry and weird when I touch it. It's like this layer of new skin is on me and when I smile it feels weird. Is there something that can speed up the process so my skin goes back to how it usually is? Help please. Thanks!

You can wash your face with moisturizing soap, dry areas off, and put moisturizing lotion on the areas you removed the hairs. This will put moisture back into your skin, help the red of skin color, and help hide the mustache shadow, if you have one. You can shave your facial or body hairs, if you want to. Shaving will not make the hairs grow thicker, hairier, or change color. Society tells girls to remove all their body hair except your head. I do not believe in what society said. I believe that natural girls are just as beautiful as girls with little or no body hairs. I believe that beauty comes from your heart and not the amount of body hairs. I would be a beautiful confidant girl and you will become a beautiful women one day. I hope this is helpful. Thank you, R.T.T.
Hey there,
To remove the mustache/upper lips, you need to visit beauty parlor or any skin clinic. The beauticians do it properly. As you explained, you did it home by yourself, then its not done properly, that may have caused infection. And making your skin red. To get rid of it, apply proper moisturizer on it. or if possible visit clinic. You can also apply Aloe Vera gel directly to get bit relief.
Thank you! The redding and dryness has been gone for weeks now, but in the future I will try this out if I experience the same reaction.
Thank you very much! I do believe shaving brings back hairs in worse condition and waxing brings back hairs lighter.
