I dropped my iphone 4 in the bath but got it out in seconds and dried it off. It was still on and working, so i turned it off and then tried turning it on and it won't turn on anymore. So i tried to charge it on my computer and into the wall charger and all that pops up is the red dead battery charge symbol that blinks 3 times and then shuts off. I've already opened it up and dried the inside and let it sit in a bag of rice for 3 days and still won't charge. I have no intention of going to the apple store to repair it or get a new one because I bought it used, from a friend and it worked perfectly fine before and I cannot afford a new one. (Note I didn't put the phone in a bag of rice till 2-3 days after it got wet.)
Do you think the water it was in for a few seconds shorted out the battery? Should I just buy a new battery for it (they sell them on Ebay) or should I just get over it and save up for a new phone because there's no hope? Tell me what you think the problem is or may be.
Okay, i'll try that. Thank you.
