Computer was originally win7, then win8, then win8.1 (lost its activation for some reason), then win10(retains lack of activation). I do not have any restore points, apparently my computer was set to automatically delete them if I have more than three.
Also, my computer does not have the option to reset to factory settings.

This is why you make a disaster recovery disk. Lacking that, go to thepiratebay.org/ or www.piratebayproxylist.co/ and search for a win7 installation. Also go to www.tucows.com/ and download "Macrium". If you have cable isp, read your contract to be sure it does not forbid torrent files. If it does, go to one of these sites: www.google.com/search?q=free+vpn
As long as you are learning to take care of your system, go to google.com and search "no password boot disc" just in case you find a need for it.
One more: go to www.howtogeek.com/ for instructions to stop your Win7 from automatically installing Win10.
