Does tidal force occur in other planets?

Tide occurs any time you have gravitation. f=GM1M2/r^2 If a planet passes so near to its sun that one side is twice as far as the other, the gravitational force on the near side is FOUR TIMES the force on the far side. That is tide. Earth's moon has a heavy spot, so that side always faces the Earth. That is called "tide lock".
