So, I come out of the grocery store today and I get in my car and this lady comes knocking on my window saying that I hit her car. I told her that I did not. She said that she took a pic of my license plate number and she was filing a police report. I told her that was fine but I didn't hit her car. I asked her what made her think it was me, she said there was no other car parked on the side that was hit and I had scratches on my car, I told her those had been there for months. There were no witnesses and she didn't see anything she's just assuming. I drove away. I will say that I'm nervous that the police will knock on my door, even though i didn't do anything. Does it sound like a scam to you?

This to me has nothing to do with being scammed. There could been various explanations what happened to her car. That person could of just noticed something that probably could of been there for awhile and find a reason to complain. There could of been someone else hit it before you got there. Who knows. To me it sounds like someones blaming you for something that wasn't your fault.
People will do anything to get that money hahaha, to think it makes sense why you said scam.
Well one reason why I think it's a scam because she said she was parked next to me but she claims she moved her car. Everyone knows you don't move your car when you have an accident. I think she was looking for a quick payday.
