Does "Serpentine" sound like a male or female name?

I need to know this for an MMO.Both sound viable to me but it seems to fit females more.But i am still looking for a name for my evil-assasin male character.
So does the name sound more male or female to you?If it sounds more female I'll use it for one of my planned female characters.

More feminine. The "tine" part at the end makes it sound so. For example Justine, Celine or Caroline. The "Serpent" part of the name makes it sound quite badass.
Another name could also be Serpentess, which sounds a lot sneakier/ more sly. If your character is going to be more like an assassin, Serpentess works. However, if you're going for a fighter, Serpentine sounds quite dangerous.

Also, a masculine version of the name could be Serpentex.
