power of attonery

While I cannot definitively answer this question, the answer is no. BUT, it depends on what power was granted by the person. Of course, people have to appoint an executor for their will. However, power of attorney, in most cases does expire upon the death of the person who granted it. Generally, the power of attorney has to specify that it extends beyond death. However, there are local and federal laws that supercede the extent to which the power of attorney goes no matter what the person dictates in the document.
