I know that thunderbolt 3 is completely compatible with usb-c port, but if you plug in thunderbolt 3 into a USB type c port, does it slow the connection down?
I'm thinking exampling out of if you have USB 3.0 Port and when you use USB 3.1, you still get the speed of 5 gb/s instead of USB 3.1 Standard speed 10 gb/s.
Does plugging in Thunderbolt 3 into a USB-C port provide the same speed of 40 gb/s?

I'm asking If USB-C Port was used to plug in thunderbolt 3 cables, would it have the same Speed of 40 GB/S?
