I have completed my associates degree in computer programming
I want to go back to community college and eventually major in Pharmaceutical Science.
My GPA from my computer programming degree was low. Is it possible to be a freshman again when going for my new degree?
I did the same thing and they say every college is different. For me, my GPA from my Associates Degree counts sometimes but not others. For most things, your GPA begins again after you transfer your credits over to a new school, so it is wiped clean. However, when trying to get into programs and even the school itself, your GPA is a big deal. Also, many programs and jobs on campus have asked me about my previous GPA .
My advice to you would be to call the school you plan to go to and check to see if they wipe your GPA clean for the class portion if that is what you are concerned about. If it is a big enough college, they might have that information on their website.
