Can the word "me" rhyme with "gloomy"?
Bloomy and gloomy can rhyme because they both end with "my" and makes an "ee " sound at the end right?
But "misty" and "kristie " can rhyme too? Because they have the same ending sound despite it being spelled differently?
So if "me" and "gloomy" have the same ending sound of "ee ", then would it rhyme too?
Or it can't rhyme because "me" can only rhyme with "tree" or "sea" or other one syllable words ending with the "ee " sound?
Yes "me" can rhyme with "gloomy" and all the other words you have listed. The answer, I am sorry to have to tell you, is English spelling is illogical and inconsistent.This is partly as the English language has many homonyms, as does Japanese, so different spellings make it easier to be sure of the meaning of written sentences. However, on a positive note, it is very, very much simpler than kanji !!! Good luck with the rhyming! Do not worry, English speakers are very relaxed about the language especially where "poetic licence" can allowed for.
