I am trying to find out wether which industry the company operates in will affect the stock price of that company? Are some industries "better" than others with consistent higher stock prices?

the stock price is influenced by a multitude of factors. i am not sure what you mean by 'high price' but I assume you mean high P/E ratio? If so, yes, the industry a company operates will be a factor any investor will consider and therefore it would impact the stock price. companies in industries perceived as having a lot of potential for development will have a higher P/E ratio than the ones operating in a stable or declining industry as investors expect a fast growing of the profits and thus a reduction in P/E
