India's youth population is estimated at 41.05% in 2001. India's total population is 1,147,000,000 (or just over a billion). That would make their youth population approximately 470,843,500 people.

According to the United Nations, there are around 1 billion youths in the world today, so it does look like India has almost half the youth population of the entire world!
