My mother has had 18 surgeries all together. But only about 10 of them have been in the abdominal area. They have been for a variety of things. But she has had the same area cut open so many times, and each time it seems like it takes longer to heal. Does having an extreme amount of scar tissue and then having it cut open AGAIN cause any side effects in the healing process? Or is it potentially more dangerous than before?

To prevent scars or to soften old scar tissue, get "Pure Vitamin E Skin Beauty Oil" at the cosmetics counter. Be sure it says "Pure". You can also use capsules by poking a hole with a pin and squeezing the oil out. Vitamin E has to soak in, so put it on when you can leave the skin bare for a while.
