If Jack believes? in God, then God exists for him. If Jill does not believes in God, then God does not exist for her. Therefore, God both exists and doesn't exists. Therefore, "God exists" is both true and not true. Use this argument to critically discuss epistemological relativism

It's either true or false. Did the dinosaurs live, or didn't they? It can't exist for one person and not for the other, it's a known fact. Yes there is evidence for dinosaurs, but there is for Christians to. People are still uncovering new testament artifacts.
The stars in the sky are balls of hydrogen undergoing nuclear fushion, and have existed long before there was even a concept of "sky". Mountains are formed by the moving of tectonic plates, as one slides over another, mountains are formed. Nothing holds back the waters from dry land, there just isn't enough water to flood the entire Earth, that's like looking at a puddle and asking why the water in it is not everywhere. Man and woman (I assume you mean humankind) were "created" by evolution, a natural process that has been observed.
That aside, your arguments, or rather rhetorical questions, are based on the argument from ignorance.
Also I believe you've missed the point of the question.
Jesus is Lord, I pray that you are granted with understanding.
Read Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 & Psalms 136,
"Stars in the sky" is just an expression. I believe this person meant to ask who created the burning balls of hydrogen, and even IF evolution and the big bang theory are exactly what happened, there is still a question of the beginning. Who's to say God did not create the big bang? I know you will probably think this is a waste of time, but try watching God's not dead. You might just change your mind.
Needs wisbom of proverbs
I agree, the Lord is the creator, he makes the sun stand still and the oceans part. He also loves us and lets us choose our own paths. He gives us a choice and that is exactly the kind of God I want to worship with my life. Baal cannot create fire from Heaven-only God.
This doesn't make sense
Yah-well it makes dollars and that's more than your paycheck
NO It is totally unbelievable to me ..I and my family has enormous faith over GOD and always follow honesty is best policy but until now We never get any kind of blessing ..
hello no blessings? number 1 is your life and the air you breath, all that We have are from God, ok?
godcomment- I understand how you feel. Why do people who have what seems like the most faith in God get none of the blessing? They do. How about the life we are given, the world we adore, a loving father, and a second chance? Sometimes you just have to seek for it. Or you are only serving God because you want blessings. Who gets blessed?-the man who gives 50 dollars to the offering hoping for double to show up, or the man who's life is falling apart and he gives 5 dollars because that was his grocery money and all he had left?
Hello ktduong89,
God does not exist and has never existed. As an historian, I have intensely studied prehistory and religious history(concering their history and movements, not intense bible, thora, koran etc study).
The idea of god, comes from people from the prehistory. These people, had no conception of what was going on around them, let alone the world or even the universe. These people believed that the rivers were god, that the mountains were god, that besically everything that they didn't understand, was in fact a god.
As we all know(people with basic, based on western, education), a river, a tree or a mountain can not be god, as these are simple materials created by certain movements of our earth, organisms etc. All these gods had stories of how they came into existence and how they created mankind. Now, we can all agree that these people were in fact wrong, due to a lack of knowlegde.
These crazy stories, created less crazy stories, like ancient Greek mythology.
The Greeks believed that gods lived on mountains. Why? Because the ancient Greeks lacked knowledge that we have now.
This basic loop of religion being proven wrong is continueing to this very day and will go on until we have explained most or all of the universe(and maybe even beyond).
What people have to understand, which I am certain that they won't, is that the concept of God comes from people who believed that by raping a young woman or slaughtering cattle, the sun would rise once more, rivers would flood, harvest would be secured and so on.
Also, let's make the assumption that there is such a thing as gods, why would YOU be right? Why is the christian god the TRUE God? Why can't it be Zues, Pinto(god of the trees), Rah etc.
The concept of god is false no matter how many followers it has, because it is based on thin air.
God is based on a false assumption, therefore God can't exist.
Thank you for listening,
Razovy
You are correct in assuming that there is much about God that I don't understand. If I understood how everything works, that would put me on the same level as God. I, however, am not anywhere near His omniscience or omnipotence. God created many things that I don't understand, but I don't call everything I don't understand a god. Your explanation puts anyone who believes in God or any other god in one category. People may have worshiped rivers in the past, but that is not the foundation of modern Christianity (Or Christianity at all, for that matter).
On another note, some people have experienced God. I don't mean like "I saw a vision of heaven." There is something completely un-explainable about experiencing the presence of God. I hope you get to do that someday. I wish I could prove the existence of God, but someone will always come up with something to confuse or change the minds of other people. The bottom line is, I've experienced it, so I know. You might first think Placebo effect, right? Wrong. That would only work if I was expecting to feel the way I did at the time, but it was totally unexpected. Like I said, I can't explain it, but I KNOW. Try finding yourself a place to go with someone like Kenneth Copland. It can't hurt anything, and It is so worth it.
Guys god does exist if he was not real then you would not have been born so yes he does
There is a difference between Christianity and Greek mythology. Explain the miracles that happen to millions of people. People who have enough faith to believe that their disease will be healed, that their backs will go straight, that their pain will end. These things happen. It can not be a joke or something set up because it happens to people at random when they choose to believe that there is a higher power. Thank you for your obviously well studied intel, but my goal is to keep as many people out of Hell as possible-thanks!
Well I once wondered this also. So it made me think and if Jack believes in him and Jill does not then you can't really change her mind. But if you want to try think about this. Christianity is the most logical religion! And there is no way that ALL of the gods from EVERY religion can exist! And God is more like a parent then a god. He is forgiving, yet he is strict. And if you wonder about dinosaurs then just remember it does say that God created "a beast" which very likely could have been a dino! So think about it! It's all makes sense if you think about it. It all comes together!
First off, GOD IS REAL! Now, for the argument about "God is real for me, but not for you..." that doesn't make much sense, logically. That is like saying "I don't believe that the civil war ever happened, but you do. It happened for you, but not for me." The bottom line is, it doesn't matter what we believe. The truth will remain the truth even if people say otherwise.
Hi! God exists in everyone's lives, whether someone follows Him, or doesn't. If someone doesn't have a relationship with God, He is still involved in your life, and if someone does believe in God, He is involved. The difference is, that person who has a relationship with God, will have the privilege of drawing closer to Him, and receive the gift of eternal life. I believe God exists, and I can understand why it may be hard to believe this is true, because of what science tells us today. But think about this world. Think about a human being. It was all so intricately made, PERFECTLY made. I just don't believe that something like this earth could just pop up out of nowhere. This is what I personally believe, but I hope it helps!
There is a logical reason. The tooth fairy-every parent knows she doesn't exist because they put the quarter under the pillow-not anyone for them. God exists-faith.
It all comes down to whether you were reared in a religious background, meaning your family's culture and other influences that might of helped shaped your beliefs. At one point I considered myself a Catholic but I started questioning the so called "rules" and in doing so i found many flaws in the bible and found it rather of poor taste to actually follow the orders a one human who self-proclaims he is of holy decent. My philosophy is to live life how you wish without tarnishing others ideas and always show emotion because in the end we are all humans.
Yes, the Bible provides compelling evidence that God exists. It encourages us to build faith in God, not by blindly believing religious assertions, but by using our “power of reason” and “mental perception.” (Romans 12:1; 1 John 5:20, footnote) Consider the following lines of reasoning based on the Bible:
The existence of an orderly universe containing life points to a Creator. The Bible says: “Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4) Although this logic is simple, many well-educated people find it to be powerful. *
As humans, we have an innate desire to understand the meaning and purpose of life, a type of hunger that can remain after our physical needs have been met. This is part of what the Bible calls our “spiritual need,” which includes the desire to know and worship God. (Matthew 5:3; Revelation 4:11) This spiritual need not only gives evidence that God exists but also indicates that he is a loving Creator who wants us to satisfy that need.—Matthew 4:4.
Detailed prophecies in the Bible were written centuries ahead of time and came true exactly as predicted. The accuracy and detail of those predictions strongly suggest that they came from a superhuman source.—2 Peter 1:21.
Planet Earth as seen from space
Bible writers had scientific knowledge that was beyond the understanding of their contemporaries. For example, in ancient times many peoples believed that the earth was supported by an animal, such as an elephant, a boar, or an ox. In contrast, the Bible says that God is “suspending the earth upon nothing.” (Job 26:7) Similarly, the Bible correctly describes the shape of the earth as a “sphere,” or “globe.” (Isaiah 40:22, footnote; Douay Version) Many people feel that the most reasonable explanation for such advanced understanding is that Bible writers received their information from God.
The Bible answers many difficult questions, the type of questions that when not satisfactorily answered can lead a person to atheism. For example: If God is loving and all-powerful, why is there suffering and evil in the world? Why is religion so often an influence for bad rather than for good?—Titus 1:16.
Firstly, God is real. There is no doubt about that. Secondly, think about existentialism and other trains of thought. I can be in a room of people and say that I dont exist and that I am not there, but if someone is in the room with me and see's me or hears me say this or even acknowledges me, I am going to exist whether I believe it or not. Just because you believe something is real, it may not be. Vice versa. Something you may believe to be not real, just may be. Think what you want. But I know the truth. GOD IS REAL!!!
Also I kind of made an existentialism joke at work a few days ago. When the boss asked if everyone was present I said I am not here because I don't exist. I was going to say that I was a figment of his imagination, but my tongue slipped and instead I said I was a figment of my own imagination. My boss then said that must be pretty bad to be a figment of your own imagination. LOL! My coworkers are still making jokes about that. LOL
God does exist it depends on the person and their beliefs if they believe or not
