When I first got my cartilage pierced a few months ago the man did it with a gun and it didn't really hurt when it went through, but a few seconds after I started to feel some pain. I've been researching and people are saying have a profesneedle use a needle. I just want to know how bad it hurts and if it will take that chunk of dead skin in my ear when it goes through because that'll be great. I'm not really scared of needles so I'm not nervous. I just want to know what I'm getting into.

Usually needle piercings just feel like a stinging pressure. If the needle is going through scar tissue, it will either hurt like frack or not hurt at all, as scar tissue has a tendency to be super sensitive or totally numb with practically nothing in between. If you want, you can buy a topical anesthetic to put on the area before re-piercing it.
