In 2 weeks, I'm getting my braces off. The problem is I'm stressing out on if braces hurt or not. My dad had braces, but he didn't remember if they hurt or not. Can someone tell me if it hurts? Also tell me what they do to get the braces off, and what to do with a retainer.

i use to have braces and i hardly remember getting them taken off all i remember is how strait my teeth were after words i don't think it hurt me that much but if it did it was probably just for the first few days for my retainer i had it glued to the top of my mouth and its still there 20 years later because my dentist told me if i didn't get it my teeth would go back to the way they were before with time
